These paintings are explorations into how the still life genre can elicit new perspectives on our relationship with the ephemeral detritus of consumerism such as plastic water bottles, paper bags, and disposable coffee cups. In these representations of everyday items the viewer is asked to reconsider the value and environmental consequence of these objects. The works were exhibited in Canberra at the Yarralumla Gallery.
